Widely considered the largest tech event in the world, Web Summit is an annual technology conference held in Lisbon, Portugal. This year, Cookly’s co-founders Benjamin Ozsanay and Etienne Marleau-Rancourt made the trip from Bangkok to Lisbon to showcase Cookly on the exhibition floor along with other selected start ups from around the world. Cookly was invited to exhibit as part of the dtac contingent.
From 4-7 November 2019, over 70,000 attendees attended the conference. Some of the speakers included Edward Snowden, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, former professional boxer Wladimir Klitschko. Jaden Smith, Guo Ping Rotating Chairman of Huawei and Katherine Maher the CEO of Wikipedia.
The conference’s topics center on internet technology, emerging technologies, and venture capitalism. Web Summit partners range from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups, with attendees representing all levels and sectors of the global high technology industry. The exhibition floor included over 200 partners and several thousand startups, with the conference providing the opportunity to meet over 1,200 investors.
